Individual Counselling Therapy is a category that includes all modalities of psychotherapy between one practitioner and one client. This discipline begins with the relationship between client and therapist, and then uses established mental health principles, values and techniques to aid the client in achieving insight into existing challenges, gaining new skills and capacities, and earning emotional freedom from historical issues. The foundation of any effective therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist, and research confirms that this relationship is the single most important factor in the success of therapy.

Individual Counselling Therapy is not age restricted though minors will need the consent of legal guardians to access sessions.

Relationship Counselling Therapy

Relationship therapy begins with establishing shared goals and proceeds to sessions in pursuit of the identified goals. Relationship Therapy is designed to address the presented difficulties and to pursue desired outcomes, often to overcome barriers, blocks, and negative patterns, and to discover how to move towards lasting change.

For the last 24 years I have been working professionally in a variety of mental health settings and have had the privilege of supporting many clients on their paths of healing. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches tailored to each person. Our journey together will be relational and collaborative as I draw on my knowledge, lived experience and clinical skills to support you from a relaxed and trauma-informed posture. Most importantly, I will listen deeply and draw out your strengths and expertise in your own life.

I have an integrated approach that is experiential and curious, rooted in attachment theory, somatics, neuroscience, and emotions with specialized training in Lifespan Integration (Level 2) and Integrative Somatic Parts Work (Level 3). Clients, colleagues, and those who know me best affirm me as a person of integrity, a warm presence, and someone who can hold difficult stories and big emotions with tender strength and without judgment.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and hold a Master’s in Counselling from City University, a Master’s in Theology from Regent College, and a Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from New York Theological Seminary. It is my honour and delight to support you.
